Discover True Self-Expression
Welcome to Kula Shala where we help you come home to your body. Somatic movement is a buzz-word you probably hear often, soma literally means the body in its wholeness. Mind, body, spirit all working together to cultivate peace. Our goal is to help you discover true self expression through somatic movement and authentic community. Somatic movement can release trauma stored in the fascia and can start to build confidence and self love. Tap into the heart and discover self expression like you have never experienced it before.
What is Buti Movement?
Buti means the cure to something hidden beneath the surface or kept secret in the Indian dialect Marathi. It was founded in 2010 by celebrity trainer Bizzie Gold.
Buti is a practice for every-BODY. This practice helps you to integrate your emotional experience to feel at home in your body. We use beat-driven music to guide our intuitive practice, curating an atmosphere that engages all of the senses physical and spiritual.

Buti Movement
Buti is an all levels class we encourage you to step in and let go of what "it's supposed to look like", instead feel the movement in your body. This class is a full body somatic workout. We use tribal dance, spiral structure technique and intentional shaking to move stagnant emotions out of the fascia while toning and strengthening the body.
Functional Flow
Traditional yoga postures, mobility training, and elements of Animal Flow merge with intelligent sequencing and a focus on intentional movement to create a dynamic and challenging experience.
Somatic Sweat
Using elements of Buti we slow things down, the class is heated with infrared red light that helps heal and rebuild at the cellular level. Using shaking the spiral structure technique and yoga sequences we will release stored trauma while also building strength. We also work through the major meridian fascial lines to work with specific emotional releases like anger, sadness, ect.
Movement and Meditation
This is a slowly paced class with some challenges, appropriate for all levels. With an emphasis on cultivating awareness, we explore different ways of moving to encourage physical openings, particularly in areas of long-held tension or old injury. Aspects of Feldenkrais, Somatics and mobility are combined with traditional yoga postures to invite greater harmony in body, mind, and spirit. Classes include a short meditation.
Sculpt
Not your typical sculpt class!! We emphasize on slowing the movements down and building strength from the toes up! Specifically working to strengthen the core and the pelvic floor. We use functional movements to cultivate injury prevention and encourage using medium weights with less reps. We want to start building muscle to age with grace, build cognitive health, balance stress hormones like cortisol, and increase insulin sensitivity.
